No. Plumsay transcribes on your Mac with OpenAI's Whisper model. Your recordings and texts never go to a server, ours included.

What happens after the 7 days?

Dictation keeps working, free and without limit. The Pro features show a small lock until you get Pro.

Can I cancel?

Yes, any time. Pro stays on until the end of the period you paid for.

Why isn't the Mac app in the Mac App Store?

Apple's Mac App Store doesn't allow apps that type into other apps for you. Pasting at your cursor and pressing Enter is what Plumsay is built for, so the Mac app comes directly from plumsay.com.

Which Macs does it run on?

macOS 14 Sonoma or newer. Fastest on Macs with Apple silicon (M1 or later).

Does it work offline?

Yes. After the one-time download of the speech model, Plumsay needs no internet for dictation.
