Privacy policy

This policy explains which personal data we process when you visit plumsay.com, contact us or use the Plumsay app, and which rights you have under Swiss law (revFADP), European law (GDPR) and U.S. state law, in particular the CCPA as amended by the CPRA.

1. Controllers

For visitors and customers in Switzerland and the European Union the controller is Swiss Techies GmbH. For visitors and customers in the United States and the rest of the world the controller is Kern Operations LLC. Requests may be sent to either company; we coordinate internally.

2. The Plumsay app

Plumsay converts your voice to text on your own devices. Recordings are processed on your Mac or iPhone and deleted once your text is ready. When your iPhone sends a recording to your own Mac, it travels encrypted through your own iCloud account. We do not receive your recordings or your texts, and the app contains no analytics or advertising.

3. What this website does not do

No cookies are set. No analytics, tracking pixels, advertising networks or social media plugins are used. Fonts and images are served from our own server.

4. Server log files

When you open this website, our hosting provider Cloudflare automatically processes technical data that your browser transmits: IP address, date and time of the request, the page requested, referrer, browser and operating system. This is necessary to deliver the website and keep it secure. Legal basis: Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR and Art. 31 revFADP.

5. The request form

If you use the form, we process your name, email address, the device you chose and your message in order to answer you and set you up. Legal basis: Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR (steps prior to a contract) and Art. 31 revFADP. To protect the form from spam, Cloudflare Turnstile checks your browser when you send it; Turnstile sets no tracking cookies. The message is delivered to us by email through our email service provider Resend. We keep the correspondence as long as needed for your request and for statutory retention periods.

6. Recipients and transfers

We use carefully selected providers for hosting (Cloudflare) and email delivery (Resend), bound by data processing agreements. Your data is not sold and not shared for cross-context behavioural advertising. Because these providers and our companies operate in Switzerland and the United States, data may be processed in both countries. Transfers take place on the basis of the Swiss-U.S. and EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework where the recipient is certified, or on the basis of the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

7. Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify and delete your personal data, to restrict or object to processing, and to data portability. Residents of California have the right to know, to delete and to correct, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. You may also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in Switzerland the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC). To exercise your rights, use the form on our home page.

8. Changes

We may update this policy when our services or the law change. The current version is always available on this page.
